Building strong, capable and resilient learners
Inspire our learning community to model Christ-like attitudes and to develop a heart to serve, a mind to achieve excellence, a passion to learn, and the confidence to create change. (Adopted May 2017)
“We aim to develop a global student who demonstrates personal integrity, embraces educational excellence, and welcomes diversity in everyday life.”
Elementary students in the Primary Years Program at Seoul Foreign School strive to model the IB learner profile and attitudes, which lay the foundation for students to develop and flourish as internationally-minded individuals.

“Establishing the groundwork for lifelong learning”
Active inquirers,theory builders
We view young children as competent learners who are active inquirers and theory builders. By listening to children’s thinking and closely observing their play, teachers at SFS reflect and collaborate in supporting children with their development and exploration of the world.
In the Primary Years Program (PYP), conceptually-based learning helps identify ‘big ideas’ that link across subjects, which we call transdisciplinary teaching and learning. There are 8 Key Concepts applied throughout the Units of Inquiry in the PYP program.
