SFS offers students, faculty and the community exceptional theatre facilities and event experiences. Our three state-of-the-art theatres bring the community together for hundreds of dance, drama, music and special events each year.
Seoul Foreign School's commitment to providing excellent performance venues was made clear when, in December 2003, the doors of the Lyso Center for the Performing Arts were first opened. For the first time, the SFS performing arts program had a purpose-built, dedicated building to call 'home'. The Lyso Center features the 701-seat Mainstage Theatre, the Blackbox Theatre, two lobby event spaces, a fully-equipped scene shop and production workspaces.
As other campus renovations and construction projects happened in the years following, the original Robb Hall Theatre was demolished, replaced by the new, spectacular Robb Hall Theatre in the Elementary School Multi-Purpose Center, opening its doors in November 2007.
Today, the SFS theatres are the primary gathering places for a wide range of community events, including dance, drama and music performances, presentations, student assemblies, talent shows, graduation and promotion ceremonies, and more! High school students have the opportunity to work in front-of-house and behind-the-scenes roles in a unique production work-experience program called Crusader Live.
We hope to see you as an audience member, performer, presenter, crew member, or online viewer throughout the year!
