Admissions Requirements

Following documents are required as part of the application process.

A

One or both parents hold foreign passports (non-Korean passport):

  • Copy of valid passport title page of child, father, and mother
  • Copy of child’s birth certificate and/or Korean Family Registry
  • Copy (front and back) of parents’ valid Alien Registration Card

B

Both parents hold Korean passports (including those who hold dual passports):

  • Copy of valid passport title page of child, father, and mother
  • Copy of child’s Korean Family Registry
  • Student’s Certificate of Entry and Exit to support that the student has spent 1,095 days or more outside of Korea (Reference period from birth)
  • If student is a dual citizen, copies of both passports, and Certificate of Entry and Exit for both passports

C

One or both parents are naturalized Korean citizens whose child is deemed to be unable to continue enrollment in the local school system (Grades 1-12), as determined by the deliberation of the school’s Operations Committee, and approved by the Principal of the local school:

  • Copy of valid passport title page of the child, father, and mother
  • Copy of child’s Korean Family Registry
  • Original Identification Certificate (기본 증명서) of the parents
  • Original letter issued by the Principal of the local school confirming the deliberation of the Operations Committee
