Following information is for students in Grades 9-11 that require school supporting documents (transcript or recommendation letters) for purposes of applying to: summer program, summer school, boarding school, and/or transfer school.
SFS HS recognizes that some of our students choose to transfer to boarding schools or other private high schools around the world. SFS Counselors do not make recommendations about these schools. Families considering this option are encouraged to begin the process at least a full year before anticipated entrance.
If you intend to apply to a boarding/private school or summer program, please follow these instructions to request your supporting documents:
- Decide what schools or summer programs you will apply to, taking note of required materials and application deadlines.
- Complete the Supporting Documents Request Form for Grades 9-11 at least 3 business weeks before the school or summer program deadline. We cannot process supporting documents during school breaks and holidays.
- Please submit one request form for each school or summer program.
Once the form is received, your University Admission Counselor will notify your teachers of your application process and timeline. If you have any questions, please talk to your University Admissions Counselor.
Please keep these important notes in mind:
-
Please do not send recommendation requests to your teachers before completing the document request form. Teachers will not submit a recommendation without confirming with your University Admission Counselor.
-
A minimum of 3 business weeks must be allowed for your University Counselor and teachers to process your supporting documents.
-
Grade 9 applications: Transcripts are not available until the end of first semester (typically mid-February). Transcripts will be sent after the deadline.
-
SFS does not accept credits or grades earned at any summer school program unless required for graduation and agreed upon prior to enrollment.
