Welcome to the Early Years at SFS!

Playing is the child's job.

The Early Years at SFS

At SFS, we see every child as strong, capable, and full of potential. From their very first day, our youngest learners are encouraged to follow their curiosity, explore their environment, and build meaningful connections with those around them. In our Early Years Program, teachers and children come together every day to ask questions, share discoveries, and celebrate the joy of learning through play and inquiry. Set within a purpose-built space and surrounded by nature, our Early Years community provides the care, structure, and inspiration each child needs to grow in confidence and imagination. With two pathways designed to nurture every learner, the Early Years at SFS lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) provides a relevant, challenging, engaging, and significant educational framework. The PYP is an international, transdisciplinary program designed to foster the development of the whole child by encompassing students’ social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs in addition to their academic welfare.

Our Foundation class follows the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). This is an innovative research-based framework built on international best practice and the developmental needs of 3-5 year olds. It has eight essential Learning Principles and a structured process that captures children’s natural curiosity as a starting point.

Every child’s learning journey is unique. That’s why our Early Years Program offers two distinct pathways—each designed to nurture curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Whether through the Elementary School (ages 2–6, IB PYP) or the British School (ages 3–6, English National Curriculum and EYIC), families can choose the environment that best supports their child’s growth and needs.
