KAIAC in the High School

Purpose & Definition of KAIAC:

  • The purpose or mission of KAIAC is to provide a well-rounded program of interscholastic activities for its member schools.
  • KAIAC is a non-profit unincorporated organization that qualified schools voluntarily enter into membership. Member schools will abide by the due process rulings of the governing board and/or council with the possibility of appeal to either or both bodies.

Seasons:

Fall: Volleyball*, Tennis, Cross-Country, JV Volleyball

Winter: Basketball*, Cheerleading, JV basketball

Spring: Soccer*, Swimming

Additional Activities offered: Forensics; Band, Orchestra & Choir Festivals; Dance; Chess

Middle School KAIAC

Our Sports Program is an intramural based program with three basic seasons throughout the school year.

Fall session: boys and girls soccer, cross country, and swimming.

Winter session: Co-ed Volleyball and Table Tennis.

Spring session: boys and girls Basketball.

Students practice twice a week and attend a minimum of two Saturday jamborees or a clinic and jamboree during each season. The MS/KS3 KAIAC program builds sportsmanship, develops skills and game strategies specific to the sport and friendships. The program is inclusive to all skill level. Registration is done through SWEP RegOnline

Students are invited to register for KAIAC sports before registration opens based on the MS/KS 3 Activity Choice Form completed at the beginning of the school year. If possible, exceptions may be made for newly enrolled students. Only students invited to register for the respective KAIAC sport will be allowed to participate in that particular sport.

Academics

The Elementary and Middle Schools follow a US-style curriculum. The British division follows the National Curriculum of England. In the High School Gr. 9-10 students may choose to take the IGCSE Program and for Gr. 11-12 we offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. Namsan Int'l Kindergarten is a PYP candidate school.

Athletics

SFS athletes develop character, responsibility, dedication, commitment, teamwork, leadership, and experience applicable in all areas of life.  While our teams enjoy winning results in competitive conferences, we measure success well beyond the win-loss column.

Fine Arts

Seoul Foreign School enjoys a long history of rich curricular and co-curricular performing and visual arts programs.  Over 90% of our students are involved in the arts each year and are showcased in our visual arts displays and over 40 annual public performances put on by our music and drama departments.  

Student Life
