Middle School Faculty

Teachers in the Middle School are a highly skilled and experienced group of professionals who love working with this age group and work hard to tailor instruction and learning opportunities to address the needs of young adolescents. The faculty members come from the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Many teachers have experience in other international schools as well as private and public schools in their home countries.

In addition to the teaching faculty, the Middle school has a full-time counselor. The Middle School counselor:

• Serves the academic and personal counseling needs of Middle School students
• Works with newly enrolled students and their families to help transition to SFS
• Coordinates scheduling for Middle School students
• Supports students who are experiencing academic difficulty
• Offers Encore courses including topics on adjustment to the Middle School, psychology for kids, career exploration, transitions, and others
• Provides resources for parents
