MS Admin Team

When you first come to the Middle School, at the top of the stairs is the Middle School office and is at the center of all that is happening in the Middle School. If you call 330-3241 and no one answers, please try again—we are eager to respond to your questions or concerns or help in any way we can. You can also email us at msoffice@seoulforeign.org

The first person you meet is Mrs. Woo, Middle School Secretary. Mrs. Woo has been with us since the Middle School began in 1988. She keeps the Middle School running smoothly. If there is anything you need to know about Seoul Foreign School, she is the one to ask. Students quickly learn that Mrs. Woo is their advocate and helper. Parents know that they contact Mrs. Woo anytime from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM if they need to contact their child, a teacher, the Counselor, or the Principal.

Middle School Office Assistant, Ms. Lee, is in the desk next to Mrs. Woo. Ms. Lee does just that—assists Mrs. Woo—with any and all tasks that need to be done—answering the phone, loaning lunch cards, distributing mail, and many other jobs that make things happen on time and in an orderly manner. Ms. Lee can be found at her desk from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM everyday.

The Middle School Counselor, Mr. Swanson, has his office to the left of the Office Assistant. Mr. Swanson has served in that role for many years, and is the person students should see if they have questions about their schedule or have a problem situation to discuss. Parents, you can contact Mr. Swanson if you have questions about anything connected to your child’s program or well-being. Mr. Swanson is often involved in career classes for students, parenting workshops, and handles all the details with transcripts and applications for other schools.

Mr. Tim Relyea serves as part-time Assistant Principal in the Middle School. Mr. Relyea has taught at SFS for 8 years. As Assistant Principal, he primarily assists with student attendance and discipline. He also promotes student leadership, often supervising and coordinating activities associated with this.

Mrs.Lynn Gaylord, Middle School Principal, is in her third year at SFS. Her career in education spans more than three decades. Her broad base of experience in all school levels -- elementary, middle, and high school --serves students well. She understands the unique needs of this age group and knows how to help students transition from elementary school on into high school. Mrs. Gaylord is the instructional leader of the middle school and the person to contact if you have any questions or concerns about your child's program.
