Faculty and Administration
Like our student body, the faculty at Seoul Foreign School is an extremely diverse group of people. There are currently 199 faculty representing 14 nationalities in our 4 divisions. Teachers in the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions are predominantly from North America (approximately 76%), while the British division consists predominantly of UK teachers (approximately 55%). Our faculty is well experienced and well educated, and there is a healthy balance between new and returning teachers. All of our teachers are certified in their respective area, and more than half of our faculty hold Master’s degrees. Statistically speaking, teachers come to SFS with approximately 10 years of prior teaching experience, and stay (on average) for approximately 5 years. Numerous opportunities are available to faculty to continually update professional qualifications, resulting in ongoing professional and staff development initiatives that have a direct impact on our student’s learning.
The teaching faculty is supported by a well experienced administrative team, all of whom have held prior teaching and senior administrative posts both in national and international schools before arriving at SFS. Like the teaching faculty, all of the members of the administrative team practice an open door policy, welcoming any questions or concerns that parents and students have about our school.
