Director's Welcome

Thank you for visiting our Admissions Office website. We understand that your child's education is a major concern in your decision to accept a move to Seoul. Hence, our best advice is for you to complete the application process as early as possible. We begin accepting new student applications in August for the next (12 months out) school year. We start processing applications in January and begin offering enrollment to eligible applicants in April based on student eligibility and space availability. Please note, however, that we do accept eligible transfer students at any time during the current school year when space is available.

Please begin the application process by: 1) submitting the online application form; and 2) paying the non-refundable processing fee in US dollar via credit card. Our office will then send you an acknowledgment email explaining our application procedure in detail. While we do not expect to receive all supporting documents at once, we do require the online application form and the fee immediately. After we have received ALL required items, we will begin reviewing your child's application for admission. If we are able to approve your child's application for admission, we will offer enrollment for the new school year sometime in April, provided that space is available in the appropriate grade level. It is important to remember that in order to receive an offer of enrollment, an applicant must meet all SFS academic and behavioral requirements, and a space must be available in the appropriate grade level.

The role of the Admissions Office is to review, facilitate and deliver admissions decisions and also to serve as an advocate for prospective families. You can rely on the Admissions Office to provide you with the necessary support and guidance throughout the application and enrollment process. In order to be most effective in this role, we need your cooperation in providing the necessary information and documentation in a timely manner.

If Seoul Foreign School is able to offer enrollment to your child, the Business Office will mail a tuition invoice within a few weeks of sending the acceptance letter. Once payment of tuition is received, a space will be reserved for your child in the appropriate grade level. If we are unable to offer enrollment due to lack of space, we will inform you that your child’s application has been approved but that he/she is wait listed until there is an opening.

Please be advised that enrollment priority is based on enrollment categories (please see our website for a detailed explanation of the categories). It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that all necessary supporting documents and the application fee are received by our office in a timely manner. In order to facilitate this process, we offer you the ability to check the status of your child’s application and pay the application processing fee online.

Should you have any questions about the school, require additional information, or would like to take a guided tour, please contact us so that we can arrange an appointment. We welcome and look forward to your visit.
